Otis Redding - These Arms Of Mine

Otis Redding died when he was 26 years old in a airplane accident together his manager and four members of the Bar-Kays, his backup band . Despite of that, he is one of the greatest twenty century artists.

(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay was his only number one single. It was recorded three days before his death and he didn't finish it. He whistled the unwritten part. The song was released with this whistle.

(Sittin On The) Dock Of The Bay - Otis Redding

I love this song, but my really special Otis's song is This Arms Of Mine. It was included in many soundtracks, but it was a minor hit. I heard it in Dirty Dancing and since that moment I understand the movies like a way to know music.

The Shirelles - Will You Still Love Tomorrow?

The Shirelles was an 60's American band and were the first rock and roll female group that have a number one single.

I've loved this song since I was a kid. It's amazing, and I feel butterflies in my stomach every time I hear it.

The Shirelles - Will You Still Love Tomorrow?:

Tonight you're mine completely
You give you love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow?

Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment's pleasure?
Can I believe the magic of your sighs?
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Tonight with words unspoken
You say that I'm the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning sun?

I'd like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now, and I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?

(INSTRUMENTAL)

So tell me now, and I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?

An other special song for me is Mr Postman. I used to sing this song when I checked my mail box. Of course, all of this was pre-email.

The Marvelettes - Mr. Postman:

Lyrics:

Wait!!
Oh yes, wait a minute mr. postman
Wait!!
waaaiiit mr. postman...

Please Mister Postman, look and see
Oh, yeah
If there's a letter in your bag for me
Please, please Mr. Postman
You know it's been a long time
Oh, yeah
Since I've heard from that boyfriend of mine

There must be some word today
from my boyfriend so far away
please mr. postman look and see
is there a letter, a letter for me

I've been standing here waiting mr. postman
sooo, so patiently
for just a card, or just a letter
saying he's returning home to me.
please mr. postman,

mr. postman look and see
Ooh, yeaah
If there's aletter in your bag for me
you know it's been so long
oh,yeah
since I heard from that boyfriend of mine

so many days you passed me by
you saw the tears standing in my eye
you wouldnt't stop to make me feel better
by leaving me a card or a letter
please mr. postman look and see
is there a letter, oh yea
in your bag for me
you know its been so long
yes, since i heard from this boyfriend of mine
you better wait a minute
wait a minute
oh, you better wait a minute
please, please mr. postman
please check and see
just one more time for me
you better wait, wait a minute
wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute
please mr.postman
deliver the letter
the sooner the better
wait a minute, wait a minute
wait a minute, please mr. postman
wait a minute, wait a minute

Santana - Why Don't You & I

This song was written by Chad Kroeger from Nickelback and appered in Carlos Santana's 2002 album Shaman, featured by Kroeger.

In 2003, the song was released as a single, but the record label for Nickelback, refused permission for use the Chad's version because would hurt the Nickelback album sales, The Long Road. Kroeger recommended The Calling's Alex Band, to re-record the song's vocals for single release.

I don't know witch of them I like more. I love the song, so I love both versions.

The Calling - Adrienne

The Calling is a band who has two albums, Camino Palmero (2001) and Two (2004). I love all the songs included in both of them.
The first song that I heard was Wherever You Will Go, from Camino Palmero, and I fell in love with Alex's voice. People say he songs like Creed. Maybe, I like Creed too.

I like this video. I'm sorry, but for The Calling's videos are disabled the embedding.
